From Me to You

These cards are from the From Me to You card kit special they offered last September for National Stamping Month. I just love how these cards all turned out! Colors are Garden Green, Hollyhock, Sunflower and Colonial White.

There is a lot of sanding on various pieces of the cards -- that allows the white core of our cardstock to show though and just gives the card a whole new look and texture. One of the other things that was done was to use a paper piercer and make a small hole in the center of many of the randomally stamped flowers. This was such a simple idea, but it really created an extra feature on the stamped images!

Also many of the main images are up on foam tape to add dimension, but it may be hard to see in the pictures.

The card kit was called From Me to You and that is the name of the stamp set used as well. These cards are all the standard size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". And after these great cards, I can't wait to see what National Stamping Month will bring this year! =)

Magic Moments

This kit was the special during National Scrapbooking Month. My Mom made up these pages and I just wanted to share them with you, I love how they all look!!

The kit came with everything Mom used to create these pages: the papers themselves, the ribbons, the brads, the Stickease, etc. The only "extra" we added was Sparkles on the trees for December.

Brrrr:

Air Mail Card

This card uses a couple of retired sets, but I just love how it turned out, so I thought I would share it anyway.

The main set I used was Air Mail. It also uses Simple Stitches right along the middle too.

The left side of the card was done with Cocoa cardstock. There are a couple of steps involved to have it turn out like it did. The first thing I did with the cardstock was crinkle it up into a tight little ball. I then flattened it back out a bit and sanded over the top of it to expose the white core of the cardstock where it was crinkled. Then I took a sponge and inked back over the top of it with Cocoa ink. It created a very interesting look.

The right side of the card was stamped with a stamp in the Air Mail set on Bamboo cardstock, then I also used the sponge with Cocoa ink on that too a bit just to give it an aged look.

The main image uses the Slide Frames set and I stamped that on Colonial White cardstock using Cocoa ink and cut it out and cut the center of it out as well. Then there is our Hemp wrapped around that with a Silver Photo Clip connected to it.

The main postmark image is also up a little on foam tape just to give it some extra dimension. That and the image behind it of the script writing is also sponged just a bit with the Cocoa ink as well. And the card was then finished off with the three Silver Brads on the bottom.

It was actually quite a bit of work and my fingers were an interesting color when I finished, but I am pretty happy with how the card turned out!

Just Add Love (And A Little Chocolate!)

This is a 6x6 scrapbook page made for a recipe swap I was in.

The papers are from the More To Adore paper packet and the colors are Blush, Chocolate and Colonial White. The stamps are from the All My Love set and the "love" letters are from the Whimsy Caps set. The "Just Add" phrase was printed on the computer.

There is a Chocolate Organdy Ribbon tied in the top of the "Just Add" tag and the ribbon continues all the way down behind the "love" letters.

There is also some edge distressing done in the Chocolate ink as well.

Chocolate and scrapbooking, what could be better!! =D
